San Juan, Puerto Rico πŸ‡΅πŸ‡·

  • Puerto Rico is a beautiful island, rich in culture, and definitely worth a visit. I need to visit more areas of the island. This blog post with cover San Juan.

  • For transportation, we used uber without issue.

  • Prices are comparable to prices on mainland United States, so don’t expect a very cheap trip.

  • This isn’t a comprehensive guide at all, but here are some things I did on my two trips to San Juan.

  • My friend, Justine actually made a vlog of our trip if you want more details.

  • Here’s a link to my google doc, which contains the information in this blog post in a way that may be easier to reference.

  • El Yunque Rainforest Waterfall Tour

    • Highly recommend. It’s about 45 minutes outside of San Juan and has an early morning start, but it is worth it. Did this tour twice and would do it again.

    • The rainforest is beautiful. This tour has some hiking, swimming, cliff jumping, and natural water slide.

  • Snorkeling with Fish and Turtles

    • We enjoyed this excursion, also great for novice swimmers. We booked this excursion through AirBNB Experiences. However, it looks like the excursion has been taken down from the AirBNB website, but I’ll keep it linked in case it comes back available.

  • Salsa Lessons For Beginners

    • Highly recommend, this was fun experience.

Accommodations

Here are the different places I’ve stayed. I recommend spending at least a few nights staying in Old San Juan, the feel there is completely different than staying in Condado. Old San Juan feels more culturally-rich and less touristy than Condado, which kind of has a Miami feel.

  • AirBNB in Old San Juan

    • This place was stunning, the photos undersell this beautiful, spacious apartment. Also perfect location, can get around Old San Juan easily.

  • La Concha Renaissance Resort

    • Great location, restaurant nearby in walking distance. Beautiful rooms. Hotel has nice pool and beach access.

  • AC Hotel in Condado

    • This hotel was nice clean, but I preferred La Concha.
