London, United Kingdom 🇬🇧

September 2025.

  • I did a few days solo in London, added on to the end of my Amsterdam trip. Prior to this trip, I had visited London 3 or so times prior. So, this trip wasn’t spent hit tourist attractions.

  • This isn’t a tourist guide. Instead, it’s me sharing some of the places I visited during my trip — places I did some vintage shopping and a couples places I visited for meals.

Vintage shopping

  • East side of London — Bricklane. Bricklane is home to an almost overwhelming amount of secondhand/thrift stores, with some being luxury/designer consignment stores.

    • Urbiana

      • Mix of thrift, jewelry, and a couple racks of vintage designer pieces.

    • Attagirl

      • Vintage designer with an amazing selection. Mostly clothing, some bags. Probably my favorite store I visited.

    • Serotonin Vintage

      • Also vintage designer with great selection. Mostly clothing, few bags.

    • London Vintage

      • Mostly thrift and reworked vintage items, with a rack or two of vintage designer pieces

    • CRABI

      • Small vintage designer clothing store

    • Vintage Basement

      • Huge thrift store, not an amazing selection. But their basement level is all £10.

  • West side of London

    • Known Source

      • Well-curated designer consignment shop with clothing and some accessories.

    • Designer Exchange

      • This place was amazing, massive selection of secondhand designer bags for resonable prices. They also have a lot of clothing, but the bags spoke more to me.

    • Pandora Dress Agency

      • Designer consignment store with clothing and accessories — small amount of bags but decent amount of shoes. Majority of clothing items felt a bit mature for my style, but I still found some good pieces.

Dinner spots

  • Akara

    • From the owner of Akoko, which is an elevated West African restaurant, one of my favorite London restaurants.

    • Akara is a West African-Brazilian restaurant which centers around the Nigerian dish akara and its transformation into the Brazilian stuffed variation, acaraje.

    • Favorite dishes: rice pancakes with black-eye beans hummus and crab akara

Lagos chicken, BBQ cod, Beef kulikuli

  • Sky Garden

    • London’s highest public garden boasting 360-degree skyline views through three-story windows on the building’s rooftop.

    • Highly recommend visiting, especially around sunset. It was truly beautiful.

    • Make a reservation, especially if going at night. Some evenings, they have live music and a DJ!

    • There are 3 restaurants and a bar. But you don’t have to eat at a restaurant to visit.
